Everyday Thanks with Daniella Whyte
Pushing Joy Out, Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat, and Psalm 145:9-10 (Everyday Thanks #728)
July 24, 2016 Daniella Whyte

Our thankful thought for today is this: Pushing joy out in order to understand those who suffer doesn’t relieve the suffering. Joy, and the hope of joy, is the very thing that is needed during these times.

Our quote of thanks is from Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat. They said, “Often instead of rejoicing in what we have, we greedily want something more, better, or different. We can't be grateful because we are making comparisons and coveting other possibilities….”

Our Bible verse of thanks is Psalm 145:9-10 (NLT). It reads, “The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. All of your works will thank you, Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you.”
